Park View Community Mission is an independent non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. Day-to-day operations are under the leadership of our Executive Director, Todd Blake. We are guided by the values shown here: loving our neighbors, and treating them as we would want to be treated.

Todd Blake
Executive Director

R. Todd Blake

Todd began serving with Park View in 2021 after twenty years of serving churches in North Carolina & Virginia.

Todd began serving with Park View in 2021 after twenty years of serving churches in North Carolina & Virginia. He has a Bachelor's, Master's of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry from Campbell University, home of the Fighting Camels.

Todd is married to Kim, and they have two daughters, Hannah & Emma. He enjoys playing, coaching, and officiating soccer games, as well as drinking lots of coffee.

Lisa Price

Lisa has been serving at Park View since June 2021. She holds a Bachelors in Math Education from Liberty University.

Although she grew up in the beautiful state of West Virginia, she and her husband, Bob, proudly call Lynchburg "home". Lisa is the proud mother of two adult sons, Wesley and Evan. She loves talking, solving problems and helping others, which makes this job a very good fit for her!

Barb started volunteering at Park View in 2016 and fell in love with the ministry that was consistently giving to our community.

Barb started volunteering at Park View in 2016 and fell in love with the ministry that was consistently giving to our community. She officially joined as staff in April 2022. She holds a Masters in Human Services from Liberty.

Barb was born and raised in Michigan, but spent most of her adult life in Langhorne, Pennslyvania. She is married to her best friend John, who together have raised four children. These children grew up, attended Liberty University, settled in Lynchburg and invited mom and dad to move to the area as well. Now Barb and John embrace the presence of family and seven grandchildren. She loves people, projects, biking & hiking in nature or at the beach.

Roberta Scrivener

Roberta brings a vibrant energy to her role as the Park View Cafe Coordinator.

Roberta brings a vibrant energy to her role as the Park View Cafe Coordinator. She enjoys meeting new groups interested in serving our neighbors delicious, hearty meals.

Roberta finds joy in gardening, reading, painting, and drawing. She also enjoys fishing with her husband, Chip, and spending time with their three daughters and their families.

Eunice Martinez
Assistant Director - Life Skills Institute

Eunice Martinez

Eunice has a background in Psychology and is fluent in Spanish.

Eunice has a background in Psychology and is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, family, and friends. She loves learning random facts, being crafty, and curling up with a good book when she has the time.

Eunice looks forward to serving our neighbors in need through the Life Skills Institute.

Emily Van Pelt

Emily has been with Park View since the Spring of 2024 and holds a Master's degree in Communication.

Emily has been with Park View since the Spring of 2024 and holds a Master's degree in Communication, which she loves using at Park View to make meaningful connections with our community.

She and her husband love to spend their weekends playing board games, reading, or spending time with friends and family.

Heather Gibson
Director - Food for Families

Heather Gibson

Heather has volunteered with Park View Food For Families since 2017. She started as a staff member in 2020.

Heather has volunteered with Park View Food For Families since 2017. She started as a staff member in 2020. Heather has a Bachelors in Fine Art from Virginia Wesleyan College (now Virginia Wesleyan University) in 1998 and worked as a professional picture framer until joining the staff at Park View.

Heather has 3 siblings and one niece. She has lived all throughout Central Appalachia and has resided in Amherst County since 1991.

Jacob Haley
Assistant Director - Food for Thought

Jacob Haley

Jacob is a 2024 graduate of Liberty, married to his bride Greta and brings the additional skill set of Information Technology to Food for Thought.

Jacob is a 2024 graduate of Liberty, married to his bride Greta and brings the additional skill set of Information Technology to Food for Thought. Originally from Maryland, he now happily claims Virginia as home base. Jacob enjoys making specialty coffee with his home coffee bar and enjoys an evening in with Greta, reading a novel with a warm cup of decaf coffee.

Jacob is passionate about serving his local community, brewing a good cup of coffee, and studying the Spiritual classics.

Monica Link

Monica's admiration for Park View began in 2014 while volunteering.

Monica's admiration for Park View began in 2014 while volunteering. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary & Special Education from Liberty in 2018 and went on to teach for Pittsylvania County & Lynchburg City Schools.

Monica is originally from New Jersey but has grown to love Virginia and the community of Lynchburg. She and her husband, Dan, were recently married in December 2021. Monica enjoys going on walks, exploring new places, exercising, and spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Ashley Steinweg
Director of Development

Ashley Steinweg

Ashley began as a volunteer in 2017 when she helped to establish Food for Thought.

Ashley began as a volunteer in 2017 when she helped to establish Food for Thought. She shifted roles in May 2018, becoming the Director of Development. While her degrees are in education, her desire to strengthen our community has become her life goal.

Ashley is married to Brent, and they have three children. They enjoy hiking and traveling as a family.

Operations Manager - Food for Families

Mike Fazzalaro

Mike has lived in Lynchburg since 2017 and has received two degrees from Liberty University.

Mike is excited to serve the neighbors in the community and hopes to make a difference in their lives.

Lynita Spain

Lynita worked for six years in the Lynchburg City Public Schools and has extensive experience in mentorship and philanthropy.

Lynita worked for six years in the Lynchburg City Public Schools and has extensive experience in mentorship and philanthropy. She hold a degree in Visual Communications and is finishing her degree in Elementary Education.

She enjoys watching movies, traveling with her husband and son, and spending time with friends during her leisure hours. Lynita is passionate about community service, photography, board games, and cheering for her son during his soccer games.

Carrie Jennings
Director - The Clothing Connection

Carrie Jennings

Carrie has spent the last 22 years working in the mental health field, primarily Mental Health Skill-Building and Case Management.

Carrie has spent the last 22 years working in the mental health field, primarily Mental Health Skill-Building and Case Management. Most recently she worked as a street outreach case manager serving homeless individuals.

She enjoys antique shopping with her husband of 24 years, taking her teenagers to concerts, and cheering on her children as they play soccer, basketball, and baseball. She revels in a good book, loves ANY beach, and enjoys watching HGTV so she can dream about her next remodeling project!
